CAD/CAM
|
BNR uses Solid Edge and
AutoCAD for our design work. The majority of our projects are now
modeled using Solid Edge with AutoCAD used for customers that request
its use and for legacy data.
We use MasterCam for in-house use and
contract programming. We have been trained in the manual programming of
Mazak Mazatrol controls and are also well versed in G-code programming
as well. |
Here is an example of
a 3D assembly model of a 2 station fixture designed with Solid
Edge for use on a horizontal machining center. The model
of the aluminum die cast part was supplied by the customer and
was used to
ensure proper fit and to locate the cast datum
points. This fixture uses manual clamping in combination
with manual screw pump to hydraulically center and clamp the
part. |

This CMM fixture was also
designed using Solid Edge. The fixture clamps the part at
3 locations, then uses go/no-go gage at fourth location to check
for flatness. The windows provide clearance to allow all probing
in one setup. |

Here is an example of
programming a roughing operation for a hydro-form punch.
This is a screen shot of the Mastercam verification process. |
